Nature’s Classroom

Another successful Nature’s Classroom in the books!  Sixth Graders travelled to Cape Cod for a week in May (for many of them, their first time away from home!).  They slept in cabins, shared meals and got to explore all that nature on the Cape has to offer!   Highlights of the trip included a day trip to the National Seashore, team-building competitive challenges and a visit to the tide pools at Chapin Beach.  The food was a hit, too, as well as nightly “quiet sing” and spending time with classmates.  This OLA tradition is often mentioned by graduating students as a highlight of their time at OLA and this year did not disappoint!
